One Agent... One Solution..

HYDROLOCK ENCAPSULATOR AGENT
HydroLock and "Encapsulator Technology"

No other tank degassing and cleaning agent works like HydroLock.

HydroLock has a large, amphipathic molecule, meaning it has a hydrophilic polar head that is attracted to water and a hydrophobic nonpolar tail that is attracted to hydrocarbons.

As the HydroLock mixes with water, it reduces the surface tension of the water.

This makes the droplets smaller and helps the water mix with the hydrocarbons.

A smaller droplet can spread out over a larger surface area.

Coming out of the nozzle, these tiny droplets form.

The nonpolar tails of the HydroLock molecules move to the surface of the drops.

When the HydroLock nonpolar tails protruding from the droplets find hydrocarbon vapors or liquid, they attach themselves, forming micelles or "chemical cocoons" around the hydrocarbon molecules.

Because the hydrocarbons are enveloped, the hydrocarbons become nonflammable, nonignitable and nonexplosive.

The hydrocarbons will remain encapsulated indefinitely unless mechanically separated.

Nevertheless, we recommend repeated, periodic LEL level checks to be absolutely sure the concentration of vapors are below the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL), with the hydrocarbons completely encapsulated.

The hydrophilic / hydrophobic balance created by these amphipathic HydroLock molecules and the reduced surface tension allow the water and oil to mix.

The HydroLock is then able to break down sludge build-up.
